Background for Project Management Training and Certification Programs:

In today's competitive business environment it becomes even more critical that information technology projects are completed on time and within budget. Such factors as scarce resources, tight schedules, and untrained or inexperienced project managers make project success difficult. Unfortunately, training provided project managers is often too theoretical and lacks a focus on the soft skills of project management.  Our program is different.  We focus on the practical application of project management best practices and leadership techniques, not the theory.  Our graduates can manage any size and/or complexity of projects.  They leave our curriculum with tools and techniques that they can immediately apply to their projects and programs.

We provide a full range of project management and leadership training that is conducted onsite and publicly.  Our approach to project management training is different than that of other project management services organizations.  We focus on rapidly maturing the project management and leadership skills of our students.  We provide successful and proven project management techniques, not just the theory. Each of our courses includes dynamic instruction coupled with realistic simulations.  Our classes consist of an appropriate amount of lecture, discussion and simulation workshops.  We take a coaching and mentoring approach with our students.  After the completion of the course, students are welcome to contact us toll free with their questions or contact us on our web site utilizing our Free Mentoring feature.

On-site Corporate Training:

Our on-site training program differs from other project management companies’ offerings in several ways.

• We always tailor our training to the project management environment and processes of our clients and when we discover that process is missing, we rapidly fill from our mature set of project management processes.  Tailoring is included in the price for our training. 
• We introduce process templates and techniques that students can immediately and successfully apply to their projects.  Students leave with tools and techniques that they can immediately apply to their organization’s projects.
• All of our trainers are employees of PMLG and thus share our vision and mission.  Training organizations that hire subcontractors cannot assure consistent quality or the same instructor assigned to one organization.  We do not hire subcontractors to conduct our training, thus ensuring that our clients receive the same consistency of quality training no matter which instructor is assigned.  Our clients can also request the same instructor and with schedule permitting, we assign them to that client.
