Facilitation and Communication™ - 8 PDUs
Course Description: Projects
cannot be implemented in a vacuum. Once
upon a time, project managers were able
to plan, track and execute projects without
the need for pulling together cross-functional
teams. Today, projects cross functional
lines as they are implemented to meet strategic
initiatives. Facilitating and communicating
across these functional lines is a difficult
and challenging process. This course provides
project managers with the tools and techniques
to effectively develop an environment where
communications are smooth and meetings are
successful and efficient. This is a team
and simulation-based course that will prepare
the participants to meet the demands of
facilitating and communicating across both
functional and hierarchical lines.
Topics covered during this course include:
• Developing the communications
plan
• Delivering and managing the communications
plan
• Skills and techniques for facilitation
• Conducting effective meetings
• The lifecycle of meetings

communications barriers
• Conflict management and resolution
