The Georgian Terrace Hotel
To be great, a city must have a grand hotel. As Atlanta came into its own in the 20th century, that hotel was the Georgian Terrace Hotel. With its floor-to-ceiling windows, crystal chandeliers and marbled columns, the Georgian Terrace represents Atlanta's southern elegance.
The Georgian Terrace has hosted very notable guests including President Calvin Coolidge, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Tallulah Bankhead. The Georgian Terrace hosted the premiere gala of Gone With the Wind. The Grand Ballroom has hosted concerts by legendary musicians such as Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen. The Georgian Terrace is a member of the National Register of Historic Places.
