Microsoft Project Training
In a dynamic hands-on environment, students will be taught how to effectively plan, track, communicate and control projects with Microsoft Project. Utilizing a detailed reference manual and realistic project scenarios, students will be coached in the best techniques for rapidly building and managing project schedules. This course is taught by instructors who have used this tool to successfully manage projects for over 10 years.
During class, you will create a project schedule to help you learn and practice essential scheduling techniques to allow you to track your projects effectively and efficiently.
At the end of this course, you will be able to utilize Microsoft Project in order to:
- Setting up a project schedule
- Building accurate schedules with visible deliverables
- Customizing entry forms and reports
- Assigning resources and estimates
- Calculating and managing the Critical Path
- How to use the leveling capabilities of the tool to plan and control projects.
- Tracking and Re-planning
- Roll up of information from the task level to the Project level as well as consolidating information across multiple projects.
- Improving communications and decision making through accurate reporting
Students are provided with a set of views\reports that they can utilize within their own organization to effectively plan, track and control projects. They also receive a comprehensive reference manual and Quick Reference Guide that can be used after the course is completed. Telephone support after the class is free of charge.
This course is intended for project managers, project leaders or any individual who needs to plan, track and analyze project data in Microsoft Project. They should be trained in project management principles knowledge.
