Maturity Assessments
Strategic initiatives are achieved at
the project level. The key is a consistent
approach to planning, controlling, and executing
across the enterprise. PMLG can assess
your current state and can make recommendations
to move your organization to the next level
of project management execution and portfolio
management.
PMLG's comprehensive maturity assessment
will provide your entire organization with
an accurate baseline from which to seek
excellence in project management governance.
Through a methodology gap analysis, interviews,
and on-site observations, PMLG will provide
a current state assessment that will identify
gaps, strengths, weaknesses, and solutions.
PMLG will outline a plan of attack to allow
project managers to fix problem areas and
improve upon what is working in your organization's
project management methodology. We do not
just provide findings; we will make recommendations
and provide helpful suggestions throughout
the process.
PMLG's maturity assessment consists of
three distinct services:
1. We will address where
you are in your project management methodology
and practices. This includes a documented
current state assessment including methodology
gaps and weaknesses. The assessment is
portrayed using a set of "spider
diagrams" to illustrate areas of
strength and weakness.

2. We will develop a
step-by-step solution which will outline
what you need to improve upon and a plan
on how to implement this solution.
3. We will present this
information during the current assessment
follow-up meeting and work with your organization
to make decisions on the best course of
action. You and your project managers
will see immediate positive results.
PMLG can provide organization-wide assessments
for ongoing projects or for current project
management methodology and processes. After
our maturity assessment, we can provide
continuous coaching and mentoring support
to your project office and teams, as well
as individual project and program managers,
as they work to improve upon the way they
manage projects.
The benefits gained from
an organization-wide maturity assessment
will give project managers and project offices
the ability to assess their current state,
find gaps and develop a process for improvement.
In project management, processes can always
be improved upon. The company that doesn't
seek constant evaluation and improvement
will find itself behind schedule at a cost
of potentially millions of dollars.
