4 Hour Virtual Workshop
The foundation for the success for any project or program is the accurate identification of all of the deliverables that must by produced to provide a successful solution. Unquestionably, the most efficient and effective method for planning is the tree-diagram Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) approach to planning. This holistic approach to accurately identifying scope and estimating project size will significantly reduce your time to plan and estimate and ensure that deliverables are not overlooked during the planning process. It provides a means for easily capturing the knowledge and experience from team members and provides the foundation for accurate schedules. The WBS approach to planning is the most effective and efficient technique for accurately planning and estimating projects and programs. It establishes the foundation for project and program success!
Your instructor, Bill Stewart, has been teaching and facilitating Work Breakdown Structures for over 35 years. This is your opportunity to learn from the expert. This exciting, virtual workshop that will provide you with the skills, experience and confidence to efficiently and effectively produce work breakdowns for all of your projects and/or programs.
You will learn how to:
- Rapidly identify all deliverables that must be produced to successfully deliver your own project solutions
- Decompose project and program solutions down to the work package level where ownership is assigned
- Conduct accurate bottom up estimating
- Build a library of WBS templates to be used in future project planning
You will also have the opportunity to begin creating a WBS for one of you own projects. Bill will review the WBS after the workshop is complete and provide you with suggestions for improvement.
